The awards ceremony took place at COP 28 on December 5th during the Africa Investment Earthshot Leaders Summit. The awards recognize both public and private sector institutions that are working to innovate and break new ground to mobilize private capital and private sector participation at scale, to Africa’s bankable NDC investment commitments and projects.
Over 70,000 people are expected to attend the conference, including heads of state, government representatives, international business leaders, private sector representatives, experts and non-state actors.
Canada’s development finance institution will build upon investment in Latin America, the Caribbean and Sub-Saharan Africa and encourage private investments in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs) as it expands operations.
