Seth Powter joined FinDev Canada in 2023 as Director of Financial Institutions. Seth is responsible for building and overseeing a team dedicated to FinDev Canada’s investments in Financial Institutions.   

Prior to joining FinDev Canada, Seth worked in a number of roles at Export Development Canada over 15 years. Seth’s most recent role was Director, Financial Institutions and Political Risk. Prior to joining EDC, Seth worked for a number of years in the private sector.  This experience included working in  mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and investment management.  

Seth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bishop’s University as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
