Marsha Acott was appointed Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer in October 2023 where she leads all aspects of financial accounting, reporting and planning as well as operations.

Prior to joining FinDev Canada, she was the Vice-President and Corporate Controller at Export Development Canada where she worked for 25 years and held various positions of increasing responsibility in the Finance Group.  Before EDC, she worked in a local Ottawa accounting firm.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. Marsha also serves on the Board of Directors of the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) as the Treasurer and on the National Capital Region Chapter of Financial Executives International.
