Christy Gallaway joined FinDev Canada in 2022 as the Director of Strategic Planning leading a dynamic team who support the organization with strategy formulation,  the development of planning systems/processes and the execution of key corporate initiatives (i.e. the Corporate Plan). Christy brings over 20 years’ experience advising and coaching senior management teams.  Her expertise spans several domains including strategic planning and execution, change management, process improvement, leadership development and organizational development.

She has worked for a wide variety of clients in the public (Export Development Canada, the Department of National Defense & Canadian Border Services Agency) and private sector (Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, IBM Business Consulting Services) in both people leadership positions and as a consultant.  Christy thrives in helping organizations achieve their strategic objectives. Her breadth of skills and experience with strategic planning and organizational change have allowed her to be involved in every aspect of organizational development from strategy development through to execution and on-going continuous improvement and measurement.   

Christy holds an honours Bachelor of Arts degree with a Business Specialization from the University of Waterloo, a Master’s of Industrial Relations from Queens University in Canada and an Organization Development Certificate from NTL Institute in the USA.
