Anne-Marie Lévesque is Director, Impact Strategies and Thought Leadership at FinDev Canada. Her team leads on the development and enhancement of FinDev Canada’s strategies and tools to promote its development impact priorities. This team is also responsible for generating and disseminating insights on the impact of FinDev Canada’s investments.

Anne-Marie initially joined FinDev Canada in August 2018 as Gender Lead, to lead the development and implementation of FinDev Canada’s inaugural Gender Equality Policy and Strategy. She was then appointed as Director, Gender and Impact Management, overseeing development impact and environmental and social risk management.

Between August 2019 and July 2020, Anne-Marie served as the Chair of the 2X Challenge, an initiative of the G7 DFIs aiming to mobilize unprecedented amounts of capital to invest in women. She currently serves as a Director on the Inaugural Board of the 2X Collaborative, a global industry body for gender lens investing. In 2021, Anne-Marie was recognized by Apolitical as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Gender Policy.

Prior to joining FinDev Canada, Anne-Marie was a consultant at Ergon Associates, where she advised private sector companies, development finance institutions and international organizations on their human rights, gender equality and labour practices.
